Hot Vampire Seduction by Lisa Renee Jones

Title: Hot Vampire Seduction
Author: Lisa Renee Jones
Series: Vampire Wardens
Genera: Paranormal Erotica
Number of Pages: 97

Description: The underground vampire population of Austin, Texas has taken to hosting orgies with human women who've been forced to indulge in a new aphrodisiac. The drug, Blood Red, is a mixture of a rare type of werewolf blood and that of a vampire. Blood Red creates an insatiable desire for sex in the user to the point of pain in the absence of pleasure. Sometimes that pain leads to death.

Vampire Warden, Aiden Brooks, has spent more than a hundred years enforcing the laws of his race, and life has taught him that anyone that he allows into his world ends up dead. Despite knowing this all too well, having painfully loved and lost in his past, when his search for the creator of Blood Red places coroner Kelly Riggs directly in both his path, and that of a dangerous clan of vampires, his desire for her goes well beyond offering her protection. He's drawn to her bravery, seduced by her feisty spirit and beauty, but he is determined to resist her, fearing he will put her in harms way. But Kelly is already on the radar of the enemy, and when she gets too close to the evil vampire clan's secrets, she is given Blood Red. Now Aiden's hunger for her might be the only thing that can keep her alive but who will save her from him?

My 2 cent: I loved this book from the very start, its CSI meets Underworld with lots of  steamy sex scenes.  Kelly is not your typical ME. She can just stand by in a lab why there is a killer lose on the streets of Austin and she could help if she could just get her hands on the new street drug that's leading to young girls death. Kelly finds herself being live bait in the case and Aiden will do anything to protect her including breaking councils rules.

I am enjoying this series I can't wait to read the next book and the connecting werewolf series.

Morning Muttering

I really have not got a whole lot of reading done this week between my new job and the rugrat I haven't had a lot of free time. I'm off all weekend and I really don't fell like going to hillbilly days(local festival) so I have plenty of time to catch up. I don't have a whole lot of new books to read though :( I usually borrow & lend books from ebookfling.com which I love, but I don't know what is with people this week. I haven't gotten three books I requested. It's been almost a week why do people bother joing sites like this one if they are not going to check there accounts. I know things happen but it odd its so many titles this week I really wish people would use the vacation button if there not going to be online. Sorry about the rant I'm just really bummed I wanted to read Shiver.

Feature & Follow

Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. It is a fun way to meet new bloggers and to keep in touch with bloggers you already know!

I'm not good with GFC just created one we will see I'll try to follow on twitter to just to make sure I don't miss ya. I was following this post and saw that someone else had my same answer so know I just have to participate.

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

A: I don't think I could stand to see Kelley Armstrong's Bitten on the big screen. I thing it would just ruin the image I have of Clay in my head.

Morning Muttering

I was up most of the night again, but not reading this time. I was cruising other blogs it so addicting and contemplating audio books. Do you read audio books? I use to but I quit a few years ago because I can't seem to remember them as well as actually reading. I just had to buy J.R. Wards Dark lover the other day because I barely remember a thing about the book. Unfortunately I read most of the series a couple of years ago as audio books and I don't seem to have retained much because I barely remember a thing. It's like they don't capture my attention. I use to love to listen to them while I drove to work I cleaned the house. I would always find myself drifting off into space & have to rewind though. So no more audio books for me just good old downloads to my kindle.

Dead Until Dark by Charlaine Harris

Title: Dead Until Dark
Author: Charlaine harris
Genera: Paranormal Romance
Date Published: May 1, 2001
Number of Pages: 292

Description: Sookie Stackhouse is just a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. Until the vampire of her dreams walks into her life-and one of her coworkers checks out.... Maybe having a vampire for a boyfriend isn't such a bright idea. A fun, fast, funny, and wonderfully intriguing blend of vampire and mystery that's hard to put down, and should not be missed. (Susan Sizemore)

My 2 Cent: I've honestly probably read this book 20 times and I still love it. Sookie is just your regular poor southern girl but shes got a quirk, she telepathic. Awesome you may think, wrong. It sucks you can't have a relationship because you always know what the other person is thinking good or bad. Plus everyone thinks shes crazy because they know the truth about her ability. The only person who seems to get is vampire Bill her new boyfriend, the greatest thing about him is she can't hear a single one of his thoughts. Trouble comes with dating a vampire though someone doesn't like it and is out to kill her and any other girl associated with vamps. Pick up this must read to see how she survives.

Not My Daughter by Barbara Delinsky

Title: Not My Daughter
Author: Barbara Delinsky
Genra: Literature
Number of Pages: 450

From Publishers Weekly: Delinsky proves once again why she's a perennial bestseller with this thought-provoking tale of three smart, popular teenage girls who make a pact to become pregnant and raise their babies together. Lily, Mary Kate, and Jess also happen to be the daughters of best friends Susan, Kate, and Sunny, and the mothers are thrown into a tailspin by this unexpected news. Susan, the principal of the town's high school, has the most to lose, when the schools superintendent and editor of the local newspaper question her abilities as a leader and mother, and other parents prove quick to blame her—a single mother herself who got pregnant as a teenager—as a poor role model. But all three women must come to grips with where they failed as mothers, how the dreams they had for their daughters are disappearing, and scathing smalltown judgment. Timely, fresh, and true-to-life, this novel explores multiple layers of motherhood and tackles tough questions.

My 2 cent: Once again Delinsky has wrote a book that makes me appreciate my mother and hope I never have to face anything the characters go through. You never know what the characters of this book are going to face as the days go on but friendships and strong family bonds see them through all the hardships that a pregnancy pact has dealt them with. This book is a new favorite of mine, it seems like every Delinsky book becomes one.

Hot Vampire Kiss by Lisa Renee Jones

 Title: Hot Vampire Kiss
Author: Lisa Renee Jones
Series: Vampire Wardens
Genera: Paranormal Erotica
Number of Pages: 89

Description: This is the first book in a hot, erotic vampire series.
Explicit -- hot! -- In blood they will find destiny and the eternal bond of passion...

The Wardens series begins with the three Brooks brothers, Evan, Aiden, and Troy. They were early settlers of the town of Braunfels, Texas. When the town was haunted by a series of brutal animal attacks, that left a half-dozen townsmen murdered, the Brooks brothers took things into their own hands. Armed and ready for action, they set out into the wilderness, determined to find this animal and kill it. What they found was a female vampire who decided the brothers were scrumptious morsels, worth keeping around for a lifetime. She attacked the brothers and turned them to vampires.

No sooner did she turn them, though, than another vampire appeared and killed her. This vampire declared himself a "Warden" of the Vampire Council. Wardens uphold the rules of the Vampire race and report to the Council. Killing a human is punishable by death and their 'Maker' had broken that rule. The brothers were then taken to the Council, where they were taught how to survive without killing, how to mingle with humans as if one of them, and when to move on from a location so that they would not be suspected as vampires. Most importantly, they learned who their enemies were and how to defeat them.

In the end, the brothers were granted a financial dowry that had belonged to their Maker and given the choice of freedom, under Council rule, or an alternative--to become Wardens. Now, the brothers travel together as Wardens, tracking outlaw vampires, killing them and protecting innocent humans. It is their eternal duty.

My 2 cent: This is a quick read but I loved it from the very start. Evan is a hundred year old vampire who hasn't really known  what it is like to love someone since the day he died and became a warden. He fights werewolves for the goodness of mankind but he has never cared about the people he is protecting until the night he meet Marrissa. Know he know what it is to care more for someone else than your own well being & he may just have to put it to the test. The wolf has gotten a taste of Marrissa & now he is hot on there trail, not to mention she is in danger of becoming one of the creachers he has to kill. The only solution would be to turn her into a vampire before its to late but the the council would surely kill them both. What will he do.......

This book is filled with explicit sex, yum.... I plan to continue reading this series as well as her connecting werewolf series.

The Watchers by Veronica Wolff is it worth the read?

IS LIFE OFFERING FEWER AND FEWER OPTIONS? THEN JOIN THE DEAD.

When Annelise left for college, it meant good riddance to her abusive father and stepmother—until a bureaucratic screw-up left her without a diploma, flat broke, and facing a future that seemed more elusive than ever. Then she met Ronan—tall, dark, and way too seductive for her own good. He promised Annelise a new life, if she had the courage to chance the unknown. One look at him and she certainly had the desire. Sure enough, accepting rides from strangers does yield surprises.

Whisked away to a mysterious island in the North Sea, Annelise is pitted against other female recruits in tests of skill, smarts, and strength. To win is to become a member of the Watchers, an elite and unique partnership—with vampires—that dispatches its teams on the most dangerous missions imaginable. It’s not exactly what Annelise had in mind for a new beginning but it’s livelier than the alternative. Because on the Isle of Night, to lose the challenge doesn’t just mean dishonor. It means death.
Let the games begin.

IF YOU’RE GOING TO BE PARTNERED WITH A VAMPIRE, YOU HAVE TO WORK THE NIGHT SHIFT.
By her wits, blood, and sacrifice, so far Drew has survived the intensive training on the Isle of Night. As a second-year Acari, her ultimate goal is to become a Watcher, and now she has a shot at her first mission. Except nothing is as it seems. The vampire Alcántara is as sinister as he is sexy, Ronan is more distant than ever, and it turns out there are other vampires out there. Bad ones.
Ancient, bloodthirsty, and powerful, these undead are really old school. They’ve captured one of the Watcher vamps and are torturing him for information. The only chance to save him is to infiltrate a major summit the baddies are holding on their own island. There will be mortals there, serving as butlers, maids, and various hired help. Drew had better brush up on her skills as a serving girl, because she’s about to go undercover…
But, when their vampire prisoner turns out to be a gorgeous bad boy, Drew’s first mission quickly turns into more than she bargained for…

I was googling today and I came across this series. It sounds really interesting but I'm wondering if its worth the buy? I'm really trying to be a good girl and stick to my new rule to only buy 4 books a month till I've read though some of the ones I already have. So I need some help deciding to buy are not to buy? Have you read it? Did you like it? Are do you just simply think it sounds intriguing enough are like more of the same old same old.

The Rise of Kyro by H.T. Night

Title: The Rise Of Kyro
Author: H.T. Night
Series: Vampire Love Story
Genera: Paranormal Romance

Description: Tommy is back. Now, he just needs to figure out what it means to be a werewolf while keeping it a secret from young Josiah, his enthusiastic fight prodigy with a superhero complex. Calling himself Kyro to cloak his true identity as an MMA fighter, Tommy walks into a special kind of bar, and a whole different world opens to him, and with it, a complicated new path that threatens what he loves most: his professional fighting career, and Maya, his true love.
Soon, Tommy meets new Carni friends who help him along the way, but finds out that some are friends and some are just out to get him. The werewolf society has rules he doesn’t even understand yet, and Tommy needs to figure out who has his best interests at heart and who just wants to manipulate him for their own evil agendas. Ordinarily, a fight or two would take care of any dangerous situations, but Tommy’s greatest challenges rise to the surface as he realizes that it’s going to take more than brawn and MMA fighting skills to stay alive. When danger threatens all that he holds dear, he learns to keep his friends close and his enemies closer.

One thing’s for sure: Maya will never use Tommy. Tommy and Maya's love reaches new heights as they struggle with the sacrifices and reap the gifts that are the foundations of a serious relationship. Maya asserts her own power in the relationship and even proves that she is as smart as she is beautiful, as she accepts that the man she loves is a werewolf, but she is not.
Will Tommy's rise to alpha werewolf status among his own kind be an asset? Or will drive a wedge between him and everyone he loves?

My 2 Cent: This series is growing on me. Tommy and Maya are a cute couple even though she grates on my nerves from time to time. Tommy is not my ideal type of guy but I don't like the fact that she tries to change him by giving up his dream job in the MMA. We will just have to wait and see where this series goes it clear Tommys player day are over hes Maya's guy but will he be the new alpha of the world? I think so, but I really hope to here more of his friends Sasha (a werewolf) & Patrick (a vamp). I am going to continue to read this series while Tommy is a bit crude from time to time I like the series so far. I'm giving this one 4stars.

A young Josiah Reign befriends Tommy along the way, and Tommy has to inevitably face his true destiny of becoming a werewolf. My 2 cent: While I did not love this book it did intrigued me enough to stay up all night reading it and buy the whole series. I like the characters but sometimes Tommy is just to crass for me. It does make for a good fairly quick read though and there is always some kind of drama going on. I'm going to start the next book now I'm curios to see what happens next.

Morning Muttering

It’s a great morning I almost got to sleep in till 7 lol. I did not stay up all night reading though finally got some sleep though. Instead of reading yesterday I tried to talk myself into not buying or borrowing a book until I’m done with the three I’m reading. Does anybody else have the compulsive problem to just buy and buy because you really want to read these books but always end up with more books than you have time to read. I have over 50 books in my tbr pile right now so I’m trying to be a good girl and just add books to my wish pile until I get the pile down. I've tried this hundreds of times and so far I do not think I have ever really been successful. There is just something about books I can't seem to say no. I always want more more more. How about you how big is your list, are you a compulsive book buyer?

Morning Muttering

Didn’t sleep much I stayed up late reading Werewolf Love Story it started off not being my cup of tea as of this morning I bought the whole series since it was really cheap. So I’m a bit sleep deprived but I figured I would check in real quick before the wee one wakes up & I have to rush off to work. Did anyone else stay up all night reading? I’ve found since I started reading again I hardly watch TV and lose track of time so my days just fly by stuck in a book ;) ahh she up talk to you later.

Demon Hunter and Baby by Anna Elliott

Title: Demon Hunter and Baby
Author: Anna Elliott
Genera: Paranormal Romance
Date Published: January 12, 2012
Number of Pages: 225

Description: Her boss is a fairy, her ex-lover is a Knight Templar, and she spends her days fighting the demons that plague London's streets. But what's *really* complicating Aisling McKay's life is being a single mother to a nine-month-old baby girl.

Ever since the End Times, magic has been leaking into our world. Magic and demons, shadowy beings that possess humans' bodies and destroy their souls. The Monastic Order of the Knights Templar have revealed themselves to the world as guardians and defenders of the veil between the demon world and ours. But the Templar Order is growing weaker, and the veil is starting to shred and tear. Often all that stands between humans and complete demonic possession are professional demon fighters, Hunters like Aisling McKay.

Aisling already has enough to handle between her day job, her (very unplanned) baby daughter, Willow--and avoiding Kieran, Willow's father and a Templar Knight. But now a new danger is abroad in London--and facing it will set Aisling on a collision course with the past she thought she'd escaped for good.

My 2 cent: This is a new author for me and I've only ever read to other paranormals with mommies (broken hearts series & Bled Dry) so it's a fairly fresh scenario for me. I absolutely loved this story it's going in my favorites list. I actually only read this because it was free with my amazon prime membership but I'm so glad I did. As Ash would talk about her little girl Willow biting this or drooling on this I would think of my own little one. While I don't have too worry about demons trying to kill my little one I could relate to her constant worry. This read is packed with action and loads of comedy as Ash is one snarky chick I'm giving this book 5stars mostly for my hottie Rafe ;)

The New Love of My Life

Ok I just finished reading Demon Hunter and Baby, awesome book I will post review later. I meet the man of my dreams in this one. It's probably because I'm a new mommy and I can't relate to the heroin Ash alot. Rafe is super sexy and always there when you need him.

His always got Ash's back in a demon fight and he always seems to be there to pick up the pieces her Templar baby daddy leaves behind since he can't really be in there life's. Hes hot loves her kid and doesn't mind a bit of baby drool as he risks his life for her, my heart swoons.

A tid bit about me!

I use to read about 30 books a month and blog all the time but life and other things got in the way for a long time. I still love to Read mostly paranormal romance and historical fiction, unfortunately being a new mommy has not left me with much time to read but I am hoping to change that starting today. Wish me luck I look forward to meeting everyone.
